Martha Mae "Mickey" Ricker, 66, of Tebbetts, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her home. She was born January 9, 1944, in St. Louis, a daughter of Paul L. and Nora Porter Pitts. She was a 1962 graduate of Russellville High School. On April 22, 1967, Mickey was united in marriage in Nowata, Okla., to William Ricker, who preceded her in death. Mickey retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory as a materials handler. She operated an in-home day care center in Jefferson City for 15 years and along with her husband owned and operated Capital Delivery and Moving. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, gardening, fishing, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: Paul Alfred Pitts of Slater and Richard D. Pitts (Phyllis) of Jefferson City; one daughter, Tonya Moss (Andy Rotter) of Tebbetts; one sister, Letta Vaught of Jefferson City; and six grandchildren: Alexis Rotter, Brandon Moss, Dalton Pitts, Colton Pitts, James Fox, and Christopher Dismang. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Frank Whitney officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Southside Cemetery near Meta. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
