Geraldine Buscher

Geraldine C. "Gerri" Buscher, age 63, of Rich Fountain, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her residence. Gerri was born on October 15, 1946, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Peter and Emma (Boehm) Dresel. Gerri was a graduate of Fatima High School and had worked at Linn Manufacturing and Quaker Window Products as well as being a homemaker. On August 21, 1965, Gerri was united in marriage to Ronald Buscher in Rich Fountain. He survives of the home. Gerri was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Quilting Circle. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Gerri is survived by four sons, Mark R. and his wife Linda Buscher, Mike C. and his wife Lori Buscher, Matt J. and his wife Kristie Buscher, and Marty H. and his wife Emily Buscher, all of Rich Fountain; one brother, Johnny Dresel of Rich Fountain; two sisters, Anna Marie Strope of Rich Fountain and Betty and her husband Tom Kremer of Rich Fountain; 13 grandchildren; her father-in-law, Leo C. Buscher of Westphalia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Gerri was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Opal I. Buscher. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, Friday, July 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Philip Niekamp and Fr. James Finder as celebrants. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
