Catherine Augustine

Catherine Jean Augustine, 71, of Jefferson City, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at her home. She was born August 9, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter of Paul Richard and Olyve Margaret LeBeague Rohr. She was married to Henry Suggs, who preceded her in death in 1978. On July 6, 1991, in Florence, Mo., she married Kenneth R. Augustine, who survives of the home. Catherine and her family moved to a farm outside of Florence when she was five years old. She was a guard for the Missouri Department of Corrections for 12 years. She worked as a waitress for Pizza Hut in Jefferson City for 20 years. Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret Lebs, of Sedalia; four brothers, Richard and Charles Rohr, both of Menasha, Wis., George Rohr, of Smithton, Mo., and Gerald Rohr, of Mora, Mo.; a sister, Clara Ingles, of Larsen, Wis.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Lynn Suggs. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel Sedalia. Pallbearers will be R.J. Rohr, Richard Rohr, Matthew Rohr, Michael Rohr, Joe Shockley and Michael Muhnken. Burial will be in the Florence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
