Tabatha Ann Marshall Benke, 42, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born December 2, 1967, in Phoenix, Arizona, daughter of Arthur Keesler and Dulcy Marshall. She graduated from Centralia High School. Tabatha worked as a corrections officer in Callaway County and Cole County. She collected "Gone with the Wind" memorabilia and took great comfort and enjoyed listening to Joyce Meyer. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Delanie. She is survived by her husband: Jack Benke of Jefferson City; three sons: Devin Benke (Suzi) of Jefferson City; Corey Benke (Michelle) of Ashland; Jay Benke of Granbury, Texas; mother: Dulcy Keesler of Fulton; grandmother: Mary Jane Marshall of Arnold; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jack and Betty Benke of Jefferson City; sister-in-law: Belinda White (Franklin) of Jefferson City; three aunts: Diane Hart (Lee) of Atlanta, Missouri; Denise Minor (Mike) of Dix, Illinois; Danell Rakes of Hallsville; and one uncle: Jack Marshall (Judi) of O'Fallon. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the family's choice in care of the funeral home.
