Lucile K. (Heerboth) Keller, 79, of Mexico, died Sunday, January 24, 2010, at her home. Lucile was born September 28, 1930, in Stover, a daughter of Otto J. and Laura JoHanna (Wiechert) Koester. She was married to Theodore V. Heerboth in Stover on July 10, 1949, who preceded her in death on March 2, 1998. On September 17, 1994, in Mexico, she married Arthur James Keller, who died on May 3, 2000. Mrs. Keller worked for over 10 years for Ameren UE retiring in 1995. She had previously worked for the City of Mexico as a public safety dispatcher. She had also served as postmaster in Rush Hill, and owned Heerboth Bake Shop and Snack Bar for 10 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had served there as Choir Director. Survivors include two sons, Bruce M. Heerboth, Holts Summit, and Stanley L. Heerboth and wife Michelle, League City, Texas; three daughters, Katharine V. Trauger and husband Gerald, Delight, Ark., Martha C. Schondelmeyer and husband Dr. Wade, Columbia, and Carolyn R. Hobbs and husband Steve, Mexico; one brother, C.J. Koester and wife Ruth, Marshall; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin O. and Arthur Koester; and two sisters, Loyetta Quigley and Aurelia Fischer. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mexico with Rev. Joel Krueger officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
