Roseanne Leydens, 75, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 30, 1934, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, daughter of John M. and Mary (Hreha) Mitrisin. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Roseanne spent much of her adult life with the constant companionship of her beloved, Frank Buschmann. She and Frank loved to spoil their many pets over the years, including a multitude of dogs, cats and a parakeet named Sunshine. When Roseanne was in better health, she and Frank loved to take drives to Frank's farm, enjoying the outdoors and fishing in the lake. They also enjoyed going out and dancing together. She is survived by one son: Joey Leydens and wife Anna of Jefferson City; two daughters: Mary Kay Frazier and husband Craig of Springfield, Missouri, Karen Leydens-Martin and husband Russ of Jefferson City; six grandchildren: Taryn Leydens, Ryan and Kaylee Frazier, Carson Salmons, Aaron and Dustin Martin; two brothers: Ed Mitrisin and wife Marge, and Larry Mitrisin and wife Helene all of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and one sister-in-law: Peggy Mitrisin of Waynesville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Mary Mitrisin; three brothers: Bob Mitrisin, John Mitrisin Jr. and Max Mitrisin; and two sisters: Mary Magdeline "Babe" Wolf and Martha "Marty" McVay. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Sharon for her amazing love and care these past four years and to Liz for the grace and care she provided. Thanks also to all Roseanne's caregivers throughout her life. Friends and family will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the Houser Millard Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m., with Msgr. Donald W. Lammers and Pastor Skiles officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Callaway Hills Animal Shelter.
