Keith Elliott, 73, of California, Mo., passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover, Mo. He was born March 29, 1936, in Moniteau County, Mo., the son of Brent and Ruth (Howard) Elliott, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on November 24, 1971, at First Baptist Church in California to Nancy Richardson, who survives of the home. He was the owner of Paradise Doughnuts from 1970 until 1999. He also worked for Just-Rite Potato Chips for 17 years. Keith was a member of First Baptist Church of Stover and was a member of First Baptist Church of California for many years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and sprint car racing across the country. He also enjoyed his yearly trip with family and friends to Talladega Motor Speedway. He was a member of California Odd Fellows, was an auxiliary policeman and a school bus driver. He attended Highland Country School, and served in the United States Army. He is survived by one son, Mark Elliott Sr. and wife Sherry of Lake Ozark; one daughter, Robin Elliott of California, Mo.; one brother, Dean Elliott of California, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Keith Elliott on August 19, 1974; one daughter, Shelley Sue Brown on January 16, 2000; and one brother, Vernon Elliott. Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of California. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Clarksburg. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Morrow. Memorials are suggested to the choice of the donor. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
