Michael Anthony Meister, 67, of Clovis, N.M., died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, N.M. He was born August 13, 1942, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Albert John and Mona Louise Hess Meister. He was married June 27, 1964, in Jefferson City, to Darlene Siebeneck, who survives at the home. Mr. Meister retired as an Engineering Assistant Technician after 20 years with the United States Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a computer aided drafting specialist for several Clovis companies, as well as the 27th Civil Engineering Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base until 2007. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clovis. He served in various parishes as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, member of the Parish Council, and Coordinator of Altar Servers. He also served the Clovis community by delivering Meals-on-Wheels. Michael enjoyed camping, golfing, and woodworking. He especially loved spending time with his family and two dogs, Snowball and Muffin. Other survivors include three sons, Michael Meister, Lubbock, Texas, Kevin (Paula) Meister, Amarillo, Texas, and Timothy Meister, Amarillo, Texas; three grandsons, David Meister, Dillon Meister, and Tyler Meister; and one brother, Darryl (Loetta) Meister, Fulton, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Meister. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2010, at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Cathedral, 2305 W. Main St., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
