Richard Lee Hebenheimer, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center. Richard was born February 6, 1948, in St. Louis, a son of the late George and Ruth (Baker) Hebenheimer. He was a graduate of University City High School in St. Louis, Missouri. On July 19, 1969, Richard was united in marriage to Lynn Bruenning, who survives at their home. Richard worked for the State of Missouri for 15 years as Print Shop Supervisor. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam from 1968 - 1969, where he received a Bronze Star. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Richard was an avid golfer and played every Sunday. He also enjoyed fishing. He is also survived by one son: Jay Hebenheimer (wife Kellie) of Jefferson City; three daughters: Vikki Green (husband Scott) of Omaha, Neb., Amanda Riley (husband Matthew) of Marshall, and Jeri Hebenheimer of Jefferson City; one brother: James Hebenheimer (wife Maribeth) of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren: Lexi Melcher, Jake Hebenheimer, Zoe Hebenheimer, Trevor Green, Colin Green, Blake Green, Delaney Green, Ethan Riley, Britni Riley, and Destiny Riley. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, with Fr. Edmond Fitzgibbon officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
