Barbara Eads

Barbara Ann Eads, 47, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Barbara was born August 28, 1962, in Jefferson City. She was the daughter of Paul and Dolores (Meisel) Litsch. She attended Jefferson City High School. Barbara was a Nurses Aide, and worked for Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home. She had also worked for Hawthorn Memorial Gardens, and was a Pre-School Teacher at Pine Ridge Day Care and West End Child Development. Barbara was a member of the Jefferson City Jaycees and the Missouri Jaycees, where in 1989 she received the Presidential Award for Community Development, and in 1991 she received the Outstanding Young Woman of America. Barbara was also involved in various projects with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She is survived by a son: James Eads of Holts Summit; her mother: Dolores Litsch of Holts Summit; three brothers: Paul Eads (wife Cindy) of Wardsville, Dennis Eads (wife Peggy) of Holts Summit, and Bill Eads (wife Connie) of Lee's Summit; and three sisters: Karen Eads of Holts Summit, Lori Eads of Holts Summit, and Tina Litsch (husband Robert) of Bucklin. She was preceded in death by her father: Paul Litsch, and her grandparents: Emil and Martha Meisel. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Jeremy Caudel officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Barbara Eads Memorial Fund.
