Bob Keating

Mr. Bob C. Keating, age 83 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, December 26, 2010, at the Villa Marie Nursing Center. Bob was born October 24, 1927, in Hollywood, Mo., the son of Burl and Margaret Cobb Keating. He was married on July 3, 1955, in St. Louis, Mo., to Evelyn Snyder, who preceded him in death on July 28, 2005. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Bob owned and operated Keating Construction and Tuck-pointing Company from 1968 until his retirement in 1998. Bob was a member of the Catholic Church and Sam's Camping Club. Bob was a world ranked billiards player, finishing second at the National Senior Billiards Tournament in Las Vegas in 1987 and 1988. Survivors include: two sons, Larry W. Keating and his wife Sharon of Jefferson City, Mo., and Harold D. Keating and his wife Ramona of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Sue Freeman of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one grandson, Michael Beasley; and one brother, Harold Keating. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Fred Elskamp officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
