Nellie Jobe

Nellie Mae Vieth Jobe, 89, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born January 31, 1921, in Chamois, a daughter of Leo and Sadie (Sallins) Sieg. She was united in marriage in 1937, in Jefferson City to Emmett E. Vieth, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1977. She was later married to Nathan Jobe, who also preceded her in death. Nellie worked for Young Fashions in downtown Jefferson City for 25 years, and worked for Roth's and Dillard's until her retirement.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Nellie loved bowling, playing bingo, and traveling to Boonville to visit the riverboat. She is survived by one son, Don Vieth and wife Sue of Jefferson City; her dear friend of 11 years, Luther Brickey of Jefferson City; two brothers, Lincoln Sieg of Linn and Calvin Sieg of the state of Texas; one sister, Bernadine Boss of Holts Summit; six grandchildren, Rick Vaughn, Shawn Vieth, Troy Vieth, Travis Vieth, Douglas Crader, Greg Crader; 11 great- grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Crader in 2008; one son, James Vieth in 1967; three sisters, Viola Mantle, Delsey Butler, Norene Hager; and three brothers, Chester Sieg, Stanley Sieg and Russell Sieg. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Douglas Crader officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
