Jackie Lincoln

Jackie Wayne Lincoln, 54, of Holts Summit, died Saturday, December 11, 2010, in Grundy Center, Iowa. He was born on February 23, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, a son of the late Sherman Wayne and Elsie Upchurch Lincoln. Jackie attended Woodland High School in Marble Hill and Chillicothe Area Vocational College. He was a truck driver for Doolittle Trailer Manufacturing and was also a farm machinery and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed mechanical work and helping farmers like the Elley Brothers, Smart Brothers and W.A. Roots. He is survived by his three children, Melissa Thurman and her husband Lee of Hillsboro, Ashley Lincoln of Linn, and Daniel Lincoln of Holts Summit; one grandson, Hayden Thurman of Hillsboro; six sisters, Helen Jackson and her husband Bill of Jackson, Mary Lou Ozment of Sikeston, Linda Sims and her husband E.B. of Centralia, Wanda Foster and her husband David of Marble Hill, Patricia Hendricks and her husband Randy of Advance, and Ladonna Petzoldt and her husband Larry of Altenburg; three brothers, Richard Lincoln of Linneus, Donald Lincoln of Marble Hill and Gary Lincoln and his wife Beverly of Marble Hill; along with several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Max Lincoln. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Additional visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Cooks Cemetery in Scopus.
