Linda June Wegman, 61, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at her home. She was born May 24, 1949, in Macon, Missouri, a daughter of the late Bernard Elias and Eva Annabelle (Todd) Brandt. She was a 1967 graduate of Helias High School and went on to graduate from Lincoln University in 1983. On August 16, 1969, Linda was united in marriage at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City, to Kenneth Wegman, who survives at their home. Linda taught at St. Peter School from 1984 - 1987, and at Immaculate Conception School from 1988 - 2003. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was Confirmation Coordinator. She was also Coordinator for the Giving Tree for the Samaritan Center. Linda was also a member of the Immaculata Club. She enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. Along with her husband Ken, Linda is survived by two children: Jennifer Cassmeyer (husband John) of Jefferson City and Andrew Wegman of St. Louis; and two grandchildren: Cody and Claire Cassmeyer of Jefferson City. Linda is also survived by two brothers: Henry Brandt (wife JoAnn) of Louisville, Mississippi and Paul Brandt (wife Mary) of Jefferson City; one sister: Eva Mae Distler (husband Leroy) of Jefferson City and two sisters-in-law: Ellen Todd of Lone Oak, Arkansas and Leta Twehous of Jefferson City. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jim Todd and Gerald Brandt. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 3:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Msgr. David D. Cox and Fr. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception School or the Samaritan Center.
