Mary Ann Heidbreder

Mary Ann (Loertcher) Heidbreder, 80, of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010, at Moniteau Care Center in California, Mo. She was born on February 9, 1930, in Higginsville, Mo., the daughter of Rudolph and Frieda (Ziems) Oelrichs, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in the Cole Camp area. She was married on March 20, 1992, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Jamestown to Glen Heidbreder, who survives of the home. She was a graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, and was an elementary school teacher at High Point for many years, before moving to the California School District, from where she retired in 1992. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Jamestown. She enjoyed working outside, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling, camping and being with her grandchildren. She volunteered often, and always put others before herself. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Jay (Ruth) Heineman of Estes Park, Colo.; two daughters, Jeanie (Jim) Pendergraft of Versailles, Mo., and Sharon (Randy) Flippin of Jamestown, Mo.; two brothers; two sisters; four grandchildren, Lori Gunter, Brandon Flippin, Brian Pendergraft, and Grant Flippin; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Gunter and Brennen Flippin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Private family burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Luther Herman. Visitation will also be on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
