Mr. Perry L. Clark, age 80 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, August 27, 2010, at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo., after injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Perry was born May 29, 1930, in Eldorado, Ill., the son of Lloyd W. and Lillian Drone Clark. He was married on June 18, 1955, in Marion, Ill., to Jo Ann Lashley. He graduated from Herrin High School, Herrin, Ill. and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Ill. Perry served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1954, Perry was employed with CIC Credit Co. then employed with Ford Motor Credit until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he delivered vehicles for Mike Kehoe Ford. He attended the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Perry was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann Clark; three sons, Rick J. Clark and wife Dianne of St. Peters, Mo., Randall L. Clark and wife Patricia of Columbia, Mo., and Ross G. Clark of O'Fallon, Mo. He had six grandchildren: Andrew Clark and wife Megan of Columbia, Mo.; Abigail, Allison and Alexander Clark of St. Peters, Mo.; and Darcie and Anthony Clark of Columbia, Mo. Other survivors include: three sisters-in-law: Jaclyn Hancock of Marion, Ill., Janis Laube and husband Bruce of South Windsor, Conn., and Jeanne Nelson of Denton, Texas; four nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, William H. Clark on August 31, 2002. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with Monsignor Michael Flanagan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center or the Clark Grandchildren Educational Fund.
