Viola Pursley

Viola Emma Pursley, 94, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born on April 30, 1916, the daughter of the late Fritz and Emma Roettke Schieder. She was united in marriage on August 16, 1975, in Jefferson City, to Frank James Pursley who preceded her in death on September 19, 2003. Viola was employed with various offices within Employment Securities. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and was a volunteer with the St. Mary's Health Center Gift Shop. Survivors include: three children, Carol Ehrich, St. Charles; Linda (Louis) Houlle, St. Louis; Martha (Bob) Meyers, Dardenne Prairie, Mo.; eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Martha Schieder, New Haven, Mo.; and four nieces and nephews, Jerome Schieder, Liberty; Barbara Schwartz, Westphalia; Nancy Garrison, Overland Park, Kan.; and Angela Williams, Kansas City. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Granville Schieder, Armine Schieder, and Oliver Schieder. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin E. Nwosu officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, Mo. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
