Elizabeth Juliann Mueller, 83, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at her residence. She was born August 11, 1927, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late August L.H. and Bertha H.B. Krueger Beck. She was united in marriage on March 5, 1961, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, to Harold Mueller Sr., who survives at the home. She attended Central School and Immanuel Lutheran School in Honey Creek. She was a 1945 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Elizabeth was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed together. She retired from state government where she worked for Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Division of Employment Security. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. During her adult life she taught Sunday School at both Immanuel Lutheran and Faith Lutheran Church. She served on the Board of Education for Cole County R-5 School District and was a member of the Heisinger Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing the piano and writing in her diary, reading, and gardening. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is also survived by her four children: Harold Mueller Jr., Becky Heinrich (Leroy Meissen), Keith Mueller (Penny), and Kelly Hart (Rodney), all of Jefferson City; two sisters: Mary Nebel of Jefferson City and Grace Huey (George Sr.) of New Bloomfield; nine grandchildren and one great- grandson. She was also preceded in death by one brother, August (Bud) Beck, and one sister, Dorothy Walther. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 22, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2010, at the Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Tony Alter officiating. Interment will follow at the Friedens Cemetery in Brazito.
