Teresa Louise Schwartz, age 68, of Argyle, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, in the Maries Manor Health Care Center, Vienna. She was born August 11, 1941, at Freeburg, a daughter of George Andrew and Eleanor Anne (Welschmeyer) Pope. Mrs. Schwartz was united in marriage on August 20, 1960, at Rich Fountain, to Walter William Schwartz, and to this union three children were born. Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle, and the St. Ann's Sodality of the Church; the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vienna-Bassett Fraternal Order of Eagles, Erie 4340. She had worked at Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, for 16 years and Scholastic Publishing Company, Jefferson City, for 20 years retiring in 1992. Following her retirement, she continued her career as a child care provider. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Schwartz include: her husband, Walter Schwartz, of the home near Argyle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Anthony and Grace Marie Schwartz, Freeburg, and Roy Leon and Rhonda Schwartz, Argyle; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Suzanne and Melvin Scheulen, Meta; one brother and sister-in-law, George Jr. and Berniece Pope, Koeltztown; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Alvina Boehmer, Jefferson City, Loretta Rademan, Wardsville, Lydia and Leslie Clark, Brinktown, Emma Scheulen, Loose Creek and Doris and Winford Lewis, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father on December 13, 1979; her mother on December 3, 1982; one brother, Frank Pope on December 14, 1999; and two sisters, Mary Luechkenotte on April 19, 1993 and Irene Koelling on July 22, 1999. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Schwartz at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2010, in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle with Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz officiating. Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010, and 9-10 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2010, all in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010, in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle. Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes or the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle. All arrangements are under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
