Rodney Eugene Ross, 55, of Lusk, Wyo., died on Sunday, July 18, 2010, in Rapid City, S.D., surrounded by his family. Rodney proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over twenty years retiring in 1995 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Survivors include: his wife, Randi Johnson; two daughters, Lisa Johnson of Laramie, Wyo. and Lindsey Johnson of Lusk, Wyo.; three grandchildren, Braedyn and Kirra of Lusk, Wyo. and Rhyland of Laramie, Wyo.; three brothers, Phillip Ross of El Cajon, Calif., Robert Ross of Versailles and Harland Ross of Jefferson City; two sisters, Linda (Roger) Hinson of North Las Vegas, Nev., and Pam (Paul) Ferguson of Jefferson City; mother-in-law; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; aunts, cousins; and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. A celebration of his life was held at 2:00 p.m. on July 22, 2010, at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds Auditorium, Lusk, Wyo. Burial with full military honors was at Lusk Cemetery. Memorial contributions to an education fund for his grandchildren may be made to UniWyo Federal Credit Union, 1610 E.
