William Hilgert

William "Bill" Joseph Hilgert, 50, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 25, 1959, in Jefferson City, a son of Robert C. Hilgert and Freda E. Pearon. He was united in marriage in Jefferson City on July 7, 1995, to Donna Percy, who preceded him in death on July 15, 1996. He attended Linn Technical College. Bill was previously employed as a Supervisor at Maytag. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, Local 669, was an avid Kansas City Chief and Mizzou fan, and loved spending time outdoors, camping and working in the yard. He is survived by one son: Jason Hilgert of Jefferson City; three daughters: Deseri Hilgert, Shamar Hilgert and Jessica Hilgert, all of Jefferson City; four grandchildren: Alexis Earwin, Dasan Onarheim, Devon Earwin and Tehya Warren; two sisters: Lynne Easley and Sara Poynter (husband Tim) of Jefferson City; and one brother: Kyle Hilgert of Jefferson City. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Joe Skiles officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date at the McGirk Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bill Hilgert Memorial Fund in care of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
