Beulah Pearl Cundiff, 87, of Holts Summit, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at her home. She was born January 20, 1923, in Cole County, a daughter of Ernest and Ruth Hoskins Gilpin. She attended schools in the Henley area. In 1951, Beulah was united in marriage in Jefferson City to Cellie Cundiff, who preceded her in death. Beulah worked for International Shoe Company, McGraw-Edison, and Chastain's Nursing Home. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by three sons: Larry Gilpin of Haywood, Calif., Jim Cundiff of Holts Summit, and Curt Cundiff of Linn; three daughters, Linda Hale of Holts Summit, Betty Ousley of Holts Summit, and Edna Barrett of Holts Summit; one step-daughter, Dorothy Fox of Jefferson City; four brothers, Junior Gilpin of Jefferson City, Alfred Gilpin of Texas, Stanley Gilpin of Elston, and Bill Gilpin of Elston; three sisters, Opal Hays of Russellville, Hazel Schmutzler of Osage Bend, and Dorothy Belt of Centertown; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Steven Gilpin; one sister, Eula Gilpin; and one step-son, Robert Cundiff. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Slater-Millard Funeral Chapel, Holts Summit, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Walter Gilpin officiating. Private family interment will be at Hickory Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the family's choice.
