Rebecca Giles

Rebecca "Becky" Ann Giles, 67, of Lake Mykee, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born March 7, 1943, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Chester and Virginia (McCulloch) Kreter. She was a 1961 graduate of Jefferson City High School, and attended the University of Missouri - Columbia. On September 17, 1971, Becky was united in marriage at the First Christian Church in Jefferson City, to John Giles, who survives at their home. Becky worked for the State of Missouri - Division of Finance; the Missouri State Credit Union. She was also Executive Assistant for Representative Mary Kasten and Senator Jon Dolan. Most recently, she was employed at the Missouri Health Care Association. Becky was a member of the First Christian Church, where she was a volunteer for many years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing flowers, decorating, and loved animals. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by two sons: Scott Giles (wife Jennifer) and their daughter Abbey of St. Louis; Craig Giles (wife Heather) and their daughter Isabella of Jefferson City; one daughter: Jennifer Baker (husband Brett) of Jefferson City; one brother: Alan Kreter (wife Paulette) of Taos; and one nephew: Sam Kreter of Taos. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Donald E. Carter officiating.
