Charles Haaf, 66, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born on May 12, 1943, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Marie Goedde Haaf. Mr. Haaf served in the Missouri National Guard. Mr. Haaf began working for Haaf & Harris Carpet Laying in Jefferson City, and later with MC Rippeto Floor Covering. In 1980, he became co-owner of Modern Interiors where he retired from in 2001. He was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, and American Legion. Currently, he is a member of the Eagles and Carpenters Union. Charles enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball, and doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. Survivors include: two daughters, Jackie (Mark) Buschjost, Wardsville, and Lynn (Steve) Miller, DeForest, Wis.; four grandchildren, Justin Buschjost, Garrett Buschjost, Leah Miller, and Mariah Miller; and two brothers, Herb (Mary) Haaf, Taos, and and John (Beverly) Haaf, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, and a brother, Bill Haaf. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Brendan P. Doyle officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation, 1106 Swifts Highway, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
