Theodore White

Theodore R. "Ted" White age 92, of Linn passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at the Autumn Meadows Skilled Care Center in Linn. Ted was born May 12, 1917, in Linn, a son to the late Jacob and Gertrude (McGuire) White. On August 21, 1940, Ted was united in marriage to Leta Tschappler in Pershing. She preceded him in death on May 3, 1994. Ted was a farmer and had been employed by Mosby Times Mirror (Elsevier). He was a member of the Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ in Pershing. Survivors include one sister, Beatrice Tschappler of Linn; one brother-in-law, Edger Tschappler of Hermann; one nephew, Larry (Bonnie) Tschappler of Linn; and seven nieces, Karen Tschappler of Linn, Betty (Donn) Jones of Iowa, Susie (Rick) Czapla of Gerald, Mary (Ron) Terramagra of St. Ann, Patty (Butch) Goldstein of St. Louis, Alice (Bill) Huebner of Illinois and Sharon (John) Beavers of North Carolina. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at the Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ in Pershing with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Barb Zastrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Fredricksburg Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Fredricksburg Cemetery Fund.
