Bridget M. Haslag, age 93, of Jefferson City, formerly of Loose Creek, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Jefferson City. Bridget was born April 9, 1916, in Westphalia, a daughter to the late William and Mary (Leigers) Eichholz. She attended school in Westphalia. On June 7, 1938, Bridget was united in marriage to Herbert A. Haslag in Westphalia. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1999. Bridget was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek as well as a member of St. Ann's Sodality, St. Ann's Sewing Circle and the St. Joseph's Ladies Sewing Circle. She enjoyed sewing, gardening reading and spending time with her family. Survivors include three daughters: Mary Ann Schollmeyer and her husband Joe of Taos, Lillian B. Hentges and her husband Don of California, and Caroline H. Hentges and her husband Dennis of Loose Creek, 12 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Bridget was preceded in death by an infant son, Martin William Haslag, as well as four sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. I.C. Medina as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception School.
