Earl Theiss

Earl Theiss, age 92, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at his home. He was born December 3, 1917, in Cooper County, the son of Thedore and Annie Shoemaker Theiss, both of whom preceded him in death. He attended Gill school in Clarksburg. Earl was united in marriage October 19, 1938, in Boonville, to Elnora Clark, who also preceded him in death. He was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in California. Earl loved living on the family farm which he farmed all of his life. Earl enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include: one son, Harold Theiss with his wife Pat of Clarksburg; one daughter, Nancy Less with her husband Robert of Jefferson City; three grandsons, Rodney Less, Randy Less and Joey Theiss; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death, along with his parents and wife, by one son, Gary Theiss; one grandaughter, Rita Jo Flick; two brothers, Floyd and Bill Theiss; and one sister, Mabel Railey. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 at Weber Funeral Home in California, with Jack Vincent and Don Schreimann officiating. Burial will be in the Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
