WEST PLAINS, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons won their second tournament of the season Saturday, sweeping Mountain Home, Ark., in the championship match of the West Plains Tournament.
The Lady Falcons opened play in the 10-team tournament with their first loss this season, falling 34-32, 26-24 to Mountain Home.
Blair Oaks would bounce back with a 25-19, 25-13 win against Harrison, Ark., then split with Rolla, winning the first set 25-17 before dropping the second 25-23.
The Lady Falcons finished the tournament with three straight wins, starting with a 25-13, 25-7 victory against West Plains. In the tournament semifinals, Blair Oaks dropped the first set 25-20 to Liberty: Mountain View but won the next two 25-14, 25-20 to advance to the title game.
Blair Oaks (15-1-2) plays Monday at Linn. The JV match begins at 6 p.m. and the varsity will follow around 7 p.m.
In other tournament action Saturday, Blair Oaks finished second in both the Jefferson City JV Tournament and the Helias Freshman Tournament.
