Jefferson City's John McCulloch shot a 2-under 70 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Jefferson City Country Club Memorial Tournament.
Roger Owens, also of Jefferson City, shot a 1-under 71 and is one shot back in the Senior Division (ages 50-and-up) heading into today's final round.
McCulloch had three birdies and one bogey, while Owens carded four birdies and three bogeys in Saturday's round.
Columbia's Brett Allen is third with a 72 in the 26-person field.
In the Super-Senior Division (ages 65 and up), Tom McHenry of Lake Ozark holds a seven-shot lead with a 3-under 69. He tallied one eagle and three birdies on the front nine.
Kent Lowry and Michael Dallmeyer, both of Jefferson City, are second and third after shooting a 76 and 78, respectively.
The Men's Mid-Amateur Championship, hosted by the Missouri Golf Association, is also being held this weekend at Jefferson City Country Club.
Washington's Ryan Eckelkamp had Saturday's low round with a 5-under 67.
Eckelkamp posted seven birdies and two bogeys to take a two-shot lead into today's final round.
Chris Martin of Rolla and Jeff Eiserman of Springfield are tied for second place, each shooting a 69.
A total of 66 golfers are entered in the Men's Mid-Amateur.
