COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jefferson City's Thomas Jefferson used balanced scoring to defeat Smithton 49-17 on Tuesday in eighth-grade boys basketball action.
Owen Stieferman led the way with 10 points for Thomas Jefferson. Keyshawn Oliver and Treshawn Anthony added nine and eight points, respectively. The A team is 2-0 on the season.
In the B game, the Trailblazers won 34-17.
Jeremiah White had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The B team is 1-1 on the season.
Thomas Jefferson will have its home opener today against Kipp Academy of Kansas City.
