Missouri scores three in 8th to beat S. Carolina

COLUMBIA - An eighth-inning rally earned the Missouri baseball team a 5-3 win Sunday against the South Carolina Gamecocks at Taylor Stadium.

Down 3-2 after seven innings, Trey Harris and Kameron Misner each singled in a run and Lewis scored on a wild pitch to give the Tigers a 5-3 lead.

Andy Toelken recorded his fourth win of the season, pitching 31/3 scoreless innings of relief. He struck out one, walked one and allowed four hits.

Michael Plassmeyer earned the save, striking out one. Brett Bond sent a two-run home run over the wall in the first before South Carolina scored two in the third and one in the fifth to take the lead.  Bond had two of Missouri's seven hits. 

Missouri (31-21, 11-16 Southeastern Conference) will host Eastern Kentucky at 4 p.m. today.
