Prep Baseball: California 8, Russellville 4

CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The California Pintos scored all eight of their runs in the first two innings Monday to defeat the Russellville Indians 8-4.

The Pintos got two runs in the first and six in the second. The Indians scored all four of their runs in the third inning.

Brayden Ash was the winning pitcher for the Pintos, tossing 41/3 innings. Cade Knipp pitched 22/3 innings of relief, striking out three.

Hayden Green drove in three runs for California.

Austin Roe and Braden Hickey each went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Russellville. Trenton Morrow also had a hit for the Indians.

Hickey drove in the winning run for Russellville in the JV game, which the Indians won 3-2.

Russellville (2-2) hosts Calvary Lutheran today.

California (4-0) will play at Tipton today.
