Bell wins in rout, takes Girls Junior Amateur title by 15 strokes

Sarah Bell of Jackson won the Missouri Girls Junior Amateur championship going away Tuesday at Jefferson City Country Club.

Bell shot a 1-under 71 in her second round, finishing with a two-day total of 3-under 141 to win the female age 16-18 year-old division. Julia Bower of Columbia finished 15 strokes back in a distant second, carding a 77 on day two to finish at 156.

Alex Nelson of Jefferson City finished in 13th place out of 22 golfers, shooting an 87 on Tuesday to card a two-day total of 169.

Sami Swinfard of Jefferson City was 19th with a 186, finishing with a 90 in the second and final round.

Nixa's Reagan Zibilski won the championship in the female age 14-15 year-old division, shooting an 8-over 80 in the final round.

Zibilski posted a two-day total of 156, finishing nine strokes ahead of five golfers tied for second place: Nicole Rallo of Wentzville, Taryn Overstreet of Jackson, Parker Perry of St. Louis, Kayla Pfitzner of Ozark and Wriley Hiebert of Springfield.

Skylar Nelson of Jefferson finished in 13th place out of 18 golfers with a 195, shooting a 98 in Tuesday's final round. Greta Hinds of Jefferson City placed 17th with a 213, carding a score of 111 on Tuesday.
