Tigers beat Buffalo in wrestling

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Missouri Tigers won the first seven matches Thursday night on their way to a 28-8 wrestling dual victory against Buffalo in Mid-American Conference action.

The seven-win start got the Tigers off to a 25-0 lead. Missouri finished with a pair of bonus-point victories - Jaydin Eierman at 141 pounds (win by fall) and Daniel Lewis at 165 (12-0).

Winning by decisions were Barlow McGhee at 125 (3-2), John Erneste at 133 (8-5), Lavion Mayes at 149 (8-3), Phyllip DeLoach at 149 (7-4), Dylan Wiseman at 174 8-3) and Austin Myers at heavyweight (6-1).

Ninth-ranked Missouri (6-2 overall, 4-0 MAC) is slated to wrestle Saturday at No. 7 Cornell before heading to Eastern Michigan for a conference dual Sunday.

 J'den Cox of the Tigers is not wrestling on the trip.
