M.S. Cross Country: Local teams compete

Thomas Jefferson Middle School competed at the Columbia Open Meet on Wednesday.

Alyson Linhardt was the top girls after finishing seventh overall with a time of 10:25, followed by Marilyn King at 17th with a time of 10:46, Chasity Pendleton 18th overall with a time of 10:48, Carrington Stilabower 40th overall with a time of 12:02 and Elizabeth Dunn 45th overall with a time of 12:07.

Andrew Nield 8:41 finished first for the boys and third overall, followed by Braden Voss in 12th with a time of 9:19, Ryan Padberg finished 19th with a time of 9:40, Blake Allee finished 35th with a time of 10:03 and Henry Stier finished 36th with a time of 10:05.

Lewis and Clark Middle School competed in the Columbia Open meet Wednesday.

The girls finished seventh overall, with Sophia Bruce coming in 38th with a time of 11:53, Laney Hager 46th with a time of 12:08, Angelica Long 67th with a time of 12:57, Michaela Kiesling 88th with a time of 15:24 and Samantha Hidlebaugh 90th with a time of 16:12.

The boys finished in eighth place, with Ethan DuBois finishing 14th with a time of 9:21, Toby Hughes 23rd with a time of 9:45, Jimmy Kroll 34th with a time of 10:03, Nathan Phillips 50th with a time of 10:38 and Blake Butel 59th with a time of 10:56.
