SPRINGFIELD - Helias dropped its first game at the Springfield Fast Pitch Invitational on Friday 2-1 against Branson.
Lindsey Steinbeck went 3-for-3 with the lone RBI, and Rylee Kolb and Taylor Woehr each had a hit.
Lauren Howell pitched 61/3 innings giving up two runs on two hits, two walks and eight strikeouts.
The Lady Crusaders also lost their second game Friday, falling 8-6 to Kickapoo.
Steinbeck went 1-for-3 with three RBI, Woehr went 3-for-4 with a double, Kenley Haslag went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Sophia Carr went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Abbi Pringer went 1-for-3 with a double and Kolb had an RBI.
Pringer took the loss, giving up eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits, three walks with two strikeouts in four innings.
Helias continues tournament play today.
