Jazz coach Snyder misses game against Lakers with illness

LOS ANGELES - Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder was ill and missed Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Assistant coach Igor Kokoskov filled in for Snyder.

Snyder didn't feel well earlier in the day, and decided he couldn't coach about 30 minutes before game time.

Kokoskov is a longtime associate of Snyder, first joining his coaching staff at Missouri in 1999.

The 44-year-old Serbian is a naturalized American citizen who has served as an assistant with the Clippers, Pistons, Suns, Cavaliers and Magic. He also spent seven years as the head coach of Georgia's national team, and he became the head coach of Slovenia's national team earlier this year.
