Cross Country: Linn Invitational

LINN, Mo. - The Blair Oaks boys finished ninth in the Linn Invitational on Saturday.

New Haven won the team title with 87 points with Warrensburg taking second with 111 points. The California Pintos had three top-15 finishers, leading to a fourth-place finish with 162 points. School of the Osage, Linn, New Bloomfield, Blair Oaks, Russellville and Southern Boone took the sixth through 11th spots.

Warrensburg won the girls team title with 81 points while Osage was runner-up with 98 points. Linn came in seventh, Eldon was 10th, New Bloomfield took 11th and Russellville was 13th.

Kati Schoeneberg led the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons with a 12th-place finish in 23:23.41. Chloe Cox (23:42.23) and Lucia Wilde (23:58.38) placed 20th and 23rd, respectively, for Blair Oaks.

Micah Hill of Osage was a top-5 finisher, racing to a fourth-place result in 21:59.14. Teammate Sara Wolf was fifth in 23:33.30. Nevaeh Henley was also strong for Osage, finishing 13th in 23:26.58.

Eldon's Lauren Imler led the Lady Mustangs with a 14th-place finish in 23:29.77.

The Blair Oaks boys were led by Eric Northweather's 28th-place finish (19:49.50). Josh Malone was 30th (19:54.73), Nick Stover 57th (20:48.79), Luke Northweather 79th (21:38.42), Thomas McCauley 91st (22:03.87) and Brayden Lehmen was 104th (22:37.95).

Cole Stephens paced Linn with a fifth-place finish in 18:30.97.

The top New Bloomfield runner was Caleb Distler in seventh (18:31.87).

Jason Crow and Caden Kirksey of California both ended up in the top 10. Crow was eighth in 18:33.39 and Kirksey finished 10th in 18:40.53. Fellow Pinto Trevor Porter was 14th in 19:01.06.

Chase Grosvenor led Osage in ninth place (18:36.12). Fellow Indian John Markovitz was 12th in 18:50.97.

Leading the way for Eldon was Caleb Cotten in 11th (18:45.31).

Daniel McDonald of South Callaway was 15th in 19:04.54.
