TUSCUMBIA - The Fatima Lady Comets won their Show-Me Conference opener Tuesday, defeating the Tuscumbia Lady Lions 13-1 in six innings.
Londyn Stuckenschneider powered the offense with three hits, while Karli Struemph had a team-high four RBI for the Lady Comets.
Lauren Brandt and Taylor Bexten each had two hits, while Chesney Luebbering and Ally Havens each had two RBI. Havens also hit a home run in the win.
Chayce Gier was the winning pitcher. In six innings, she allowed just three hits and struck out 11.
Fatima (5-3) plays Cape Girardeau: Notre Dame at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the first round of the Lady Jays Classic at Binder Park.
