COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City Jays defeated the Hickman Kewpies 2-1 in soccer action Tuesday night.
Breck McGrail and Cole Heiberger scored for the Jays, who led 2-0 at the half. Heiberger assisted on McGrail's goal.
Hickman scored midway through the second half on a penalty kick.
Jefferson City (2-1) will play Friday and Saturday at the Parkview Tournament in Springfield.
In Tuesday's JV game, Jefferson City blanked Hickman 1-0. Deandreis White scored the lone goal of the contest for the Jays (2-0-1), assisted by Ryan Gerke.
