Prep Softball: Fatima goes 2-0 in Show-Me tripleheader

MOKANE - The Fatima Lady Comets picked up a pair of victories Monday.

Fatima opened with a 6-3 win against the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets.

Chesney Luebbering had two hits and four RBI in the victory, while Taylor Bexten had two hits and drove in a run. Fatima had eight hits in the win.

Chayce Gier got the win in the circle, tossing a two-hitter. She struck out 11.

Fatima then bested the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs 7-2.

Lauren Brandt had three hits and three RBI, while Karli Struemph had three hits and drove in a run. Allyson Havens had two hits and and RBI, while Ellie Brune drove in a run.

Brune was the winning pitcher, allowing six hits and two walks while recording one strikeout.

Fatima (14-9) will play wrap up its regular season today at Russellville.
