BOLIVAR - Jefferson City's Michael Davidson opened with an 8-over 80 in Monday's first round of the Class 4 state championships at Silo Ridge Country Club.
Davidson, the Jays' only state qualifier, is tied with seven other players for 37th place out of 93 golfers.
Glendale's Dawson Meek is atop the individual standings after shooting a 4-under 68 on Monday. Lafayette: Wildwood's Maxwell Kreikemeier is second with a 70.
Lafayette: Wildwood leads the team standings with a 304. Jackson is second with a 307 and Marquette is third with a 308. Rockhurst is in fourth place with a 309.
