Blair Oaks graduate Makenna Kliethermes wasn't quite finished collecting her high school softball accolades.

The Lady Falcons pitcher was announced Tuesday as a second-team softball All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Kliethermes, who will pitch in the spring at the University of Oregon, was one of 14 pitchers across the nation to receive All-American honors from the NFCA for the 2018-19 season. She was joined by four other pitchers on the second team, and she was the only player from Missouri on the All-American team.

During the 2018 season, Kliethermes recorded a 21-2 record for Blair Oaks, leading the team to its third straight Final Four appearance and a third-place finish in Class 2 last October at Springfield.

As a senior, Kliethermes struck out a school-record 300 batters in 134 innings, allowing just 11 earned runs for a 0.57 ERA. She pitched seven no-hitters during the season.

Earlier this summer, Kliethermes was named the Missouri Softball Gatorade player of the year. She was the nation's No. 28 recruit for the Class of 2019 by Softball America. She was named first-team all-state as a pitcher in 2017 and '18 by the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association.
