Girls Basketball: Eugene 41, Eldon 33

EUGENE - The Eugene Lady Eagles used a fourth-quarter comeback Thursday to rally past the Eldon Lady Mustangs for a 41-33 win.

Eldon was ahead at the end of each of the first three quarters, leading 12-10 after one quarter, 20-16 at halftime and 29-25 through three quarters.

Eugene was able to outscore Eldon 16-4 in the final eight minutes to pull off the non-conference victory.

Kayla Bond scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Lady Eagles, while Jodi Polly added nine points.

For the Lady Mustangs, Haley Clifton scored a team-high 11 points.

Eugene (8-6) plays Monday at Calvary Lutheran. Eldon (2-11) is the No. 6 seed in next week's School of the Osage Tournament and will face Richland at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
