CALIFORNIA - The St. Elizabeth Hornets defeated the Eldon Mustangs 62-44 on Thursday night in the loser's bracket semifinals of the California Tournament.
St. Elizabeth jumped out to an 18-9 lead after one quarter and took by 32-23 advantage into halftime.
Brock Lucas finished with 14 points for St. Elizabeth (12-3, ranked No. 7 in Class 1).
Logan Hall finished with 20 points for Eldon (2-12).
The Hornets are scheduled to play Fulton today in the the fifth-place game, while the Mustangs will play host California in the seventh-place game.
