CLINTON, Mo. - The Versailles Tigers are district champions for the second straight season after defeating the Clinton Cardinals 91-62 Friday night in the championship game of the Class 3 District 10 Tournament.
Coby Williams scored 28 of his 40 points in the first half to help build a 49-25 lead. The Tigers were ahead 69-44 after three quarters.
Versailles (13-15) advances to the sectional round at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sedalia Smith-Cotton. The winner of today's Class 3 District 9 championship game between Father Tolton and Blair Oaks will advance to play Versailles.
