LINN, Mo. - The Fatima Comets closed their season Wednesday with a 56-40 defeat to the Father Tolton Trailblazers in the first round of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament.
The top-seeded Trailblazers led 15-10 after the first quarter, 26-16 at halftime and 39-29 after three quarters.
Lee Verslues led eighth-seeded Fatima with 14 points, while Cole Lehmen and Leo Peters each added 10.
Fatima ends its season at 9-15.
Father Tolton (17-5) will face second-seeded Blair Oaks (21-5) at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
