LINN — The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons secured back-to-back 20-win seasons Monday with a 56-26 win against North Callaway in the first round of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament.
Blair Oaks created a comfortable lead in the first half, building a 12-4 advantage through one quarter and 25-7 at halftime.
North Callaway outscored Blair Oaks 15-12 in the third quarter, closing the gap to 37-22, but the Lady Falcons outscored the Lady Thunderbirds 19-4 in the final eight minutes.
Bailey Rissmiller scored a game-high 12 points for the Lady Falcons. Brooke Boessen and Claire Heckman each added eight points.
Blair Oaks (20-6), the No. 2 seed, will play sixth-seeded Southern Boone (11-15) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals.
The Lady Eagles rallied Monday to upset the third-seeded Fatima Lady Comets 77-72 in overtime.
