SEDALIA, Mo. - The Tipton Cardinals got rolling in the second quarter and pulled away for a 60-35 win against the Lincoln Cardinals on Saturday in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament championship game at State Fair Community College.
Lincoln took a 17-14 lead after one quarter of play, but Tipton was ahead 28-22 by halftime.
Tipton increased its lead to 45-26 by the end of the third quarter.
It's the first time Tipton has won the Kaysinger Tournament since joining the conference in 2010.
Tipton (15-7) plays Tuesday at La Monte.
