BOLIVAR, Mo. - The Eldon Lady Mustangs won the small school girls division title Tuesday at the Southwest Baptist University Invitational.

Eldon scored 91.5 points to fininsh first among the 35 school in Class 1-3 at the Invitational, followed by Lamar in second with 78 points and Summit Christian Academy third with 71.

The Lady Mustangs recorded two event wins and seven top-three finishes. Caroline Beckmann won the girls triple jump for Eldon, while Haley Clifton added a first-place finish in the discus.

The Versailles girls finished fifth with 59.5 points, winning two relay events and one field event. The Lady Tigers won both the 4x200- and 4x400-meter relays, and Carrie Hoffa took first place in the shot put.

The Russellville girls finished 17th with 13 points. Makenzie Schwartz accounted for 12 of the Lady Indians' points, taking second place in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth place in the 100-meter dash.

The Versailles boys led the area teams in the final standings, finishing seventh with 44.8 points. Coby Williams was the only area event winning, finishing first in the 400-meter dash.

The Russellville boys tied for 17th place with 13.5 points, led by Jett Ruppel's fifth-place finish in the pole vault. Eldon placed 22nd with 11 points and was led by Samuel Rivera, who placed fourth in the 400 and fifth in the 800-meter run.
